My Mission

Hard times can feel overwhelming, but they also hold the potential for growth. My goal is to help you make sense of the challenges in front of you—whether it’s anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, or major life transitions—and turn them into opportunities for lasting change. With a warm but straightforward approach, I’ll guide you through the process, providing the support and tools you need to move forward with clarity and confidence. You don’t have to navigate this alone—let’s do the work together

About Me

I’ve always been a listener, a nurturer—the person people turn to when they need to feel heard and understood. Empathy comes naturally to me, but so does honesty. Growing up in Brooklyn shaped my approach—I’m warm, but I’m also direct. I believe in real conversations, in saying what needs to be said, but always with care and respect. I’ll challenge you, but never before you’re ready. Therapy with me is a partnership—we’ll walk this path together.

Like many of my clients, I once measured success by achievement. A former gifted program kid, I spent years focused on doing my best, checking all the right boxes. Over time, I’ve learned the importance of slowing down, embracing the journey, and prioritizing self-care over constant striving. Now, I help others find that same balance.

Outside of the therapy room, you’ll find me deep in a book (I’m in several book clubs), traveling, or sharing a good meal and laughter with friends. Richmond has been home for the past 10 years, but New York is still in me—it’s why I value transparency, authenticity, and meaningful connection. If you’re looking for a therapist who will truly listen, push you when needed, and help you create real change, I’d love to work with you.

Education & Training

My path to becoming a clinical psychologist has been shaped by rigorous training, diverse experiences, and a deep commitment to understanding human behavior.

B.A. in Psychology – Duke University

Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology – University of Massachusetts Amherst

Pre-Doctoral Internship – Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Medical Center | Virginia Treatment Center for Children (VTCC)

Postdoctoral Fellowship – Johns Hopkins University | Kennedy Krieger Institute

Over the past fourteen years, I’ve worked with children, adults, and families in a range of settings—including community mental health, schools, inpatient psychiatric care, and outpatient clinics.

Since becoming an independently licensed psychologist in 2016, I’ve dedicated my practice to helping individuals and couples build insight, resilience, and meaningful change. My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in research-backed strategies—because understanding yourself is the first step toward transformation.
